There are two confirmed pacesetters in this race with Romantic City and Benefactor likely to take the field along. Turf Magic might be able to position a little closer than normal from the inside gate. Tour De Force, the probable race favourite, will enjoy a nice trial into the race from gate 2 and ought to have plenty of kick in the finish with Red Lucky Star, who caught the eye last time over a shorter distance, well positioned to chase him home. Last start winner Cape Canaveral may not have the easiest passage from gate 8 and may have to settle for a more minor role this time around.
