It’s often the case that middle-tier mile races at Sha Tin are not run especially fast and that’s likely the case here with Chancellor, Yue Lu Treasure and probably Absolute Fantasy the prime candidates to set a gallop that will be no better than even. Winning Leader’s wide gate could prove to be a blessing in disguise forcing Purton to play his hand early, and perhaps decisively, with similarly progressive types Smiling Watch, Peri Peri Saffron and Radiomarelli chasing hard and close up at the wire.
