Apart from Able One and Beauty Flash, the local runners in the Champions Mile prefer to stay back early on. Coupling with the fact that the overseas runners in this race don't want to lead either, I imagine Able One and Beauty Flash will dictate the pace of the race early on, with the in-form Able One likely to lead all the way to the finish. Of the 14 runners in the Champions Mile, six, including Cityscape, Ambitious Dragon, African Story, Lucky Nine, Xtension and Musir, ran in the Dubai World Cup just over a month ago. Horses who have made recent long trips might suffer slightly in form, and often are not at their peak and I have therefore given them a B rating.
